About This Site

Training For Parkour will take you step-by-step through learning how to train basic movements, strength and conditioning progressions and why each aspect is necessary and beneficial.  It will also teach you specific skills to help you develop into the parkour athlete you dream of becoming.  No more watching tutorials repeatedly hoping to figure out how they do it!  There are many resources out there with lists of different moves and a myriad of different strength exercises, but there isn’t any organization.  Training For Parkour will show you how to get started, best practices for setting up training sessions, and help you develop a healthy and sequential training regimen.

Training For Parkour is your guide to starting out and is full of article and video instruction that will let you get the most out of your training.  If you want to actually progress and stop guessing, this is the place for you.

Training For ParkourMy Story

My name is Ben Krueger and I have been practicing parkour since around March of 2008.  I will be the first to tell you that I am no David Belle.  I am however continuously training to better myself and truly enjoy helping spread the knowledge I have gained through my experiences.  My first real encounter with skilled traceurs was back in New York City in 2008.  There I had the opportunity to train with the founders of Parkour Generations, Sephane Vigroux and Dan Edwardes.  Since that trip, I have trained in various U.S. locations, London, Lisse and Manchester learning and training with the local traceurs as I went.  I have also helped organize yearly American Rendezvous events in Columbus, Ohio.  These events feature prominent Yamakasi and Parkour Generations athletes such as Chau Belle Dinh, Francois (Forrest) Mahop, Laurent Piedmont and more.
